Amazing place to go for a hike with incredible views of the falls. Several viewpoints along the trails. Prepare yourself to scale over a thousand steps to get down to hurricane falls. If you've got the time, pay for the extra permit to access the falls floor and hike the primitive trail to Bridalville falls where you can go for a swim. This is definitely not for the faint of heart. If you are not comfortable with 1000 stair steps, warm up on the stairmaster months in advance and build up a tolerance, not joking. Don't forget to purchase your quote. I survived the steps, shirt and the gift shop before you leave.

This is a SPEED trap that has used Ga Law to fill it’s coffers ………….. simply put they are using a school zone on a major highway to take automatic photos of cars going over the “school” speed limit while not using the flashing warning lights that are supposedly “working” these lights never work . The positive thing is other than the Gorge this towns a dump so no point in stopping .

We love hiking the gorge! Our 3 and 5 year olds have hiked both rim trails as well as the rim to rim loop! It’s doable. Get out there and enjoy it, if you’re able!
