The customer service from the staff at this location...is undesirable and unprofessional. They collect easy money for doing not even the bare minimum. I was basically kicked out of the station, when I was waiting for my Amtrak bus to Santa Barbara. I don't understand how a station like this is close in the hours leading to a bus transporting customers to another station. On top of that, one of their employees basically told me that..." he doesn't get paid passed a certain hour..so basically I needed to leave." Rude and uneccessary comment.

Pleasant, staffed, and air-conditioned station with bathrooms, vending machines, and plenty of other amenities make this low-traffic station fantastic.

This train station has indoor seating, restrooms, vending machines, and is staffed. There's also a "cell phone booth" where you can take make or take a phone call in an old phone booth. It's not the grandest train station, but it's more than I expected for a small city like Salinas. Amtrak trains, Amtrak Thruway buses, and Greyhound buses stop here. There's also plenty of parking.
