Did not know about this place and happened upon it and thought let's take a look. Pleasantly beautiful nature spot. US Parks and recreation area. If you have a parks pass, it is great to get in. If no parks pass it is a $25 fee. There is a shop there and a place to get fuel if needed for a vehicle. Also, there is a fuel dock on the water. Friendly atmosphere and peaceful.

Really nice spot. Quiet... boat rentals. There is a little results to get some quick food. Open Friday to Sunday. The boat ramp is really nice.

Love this place, Wake up early and beat the crowd for the best time possible. There's a small cafe/restaurant if you don't want to bring food and also a small general Mart with drinks, ice, food, utensils and bug spray. Arriving early to get a spot with a table/covering/grill combo is essential if you have a group.
