Small, foggy, dense, EXPENSIVE, depressing island. The fog gets so bad for weeks at a time that no airplanes can even land. I was stuck for 2 weeks after fishing at sea. The only nice thing about this place is the bird watching if your into that sort of thing. It is also a dry island for the most part (no alcohol).

I grew up there. And am a native Unangax English translation (we are one )from the largest populated Pribilof Island St. Paul Island. Aka Tanax Amix. English translation "land of mothers brother." Was best thing that ever happend in my life. Rich in old Alaska/Russian history and the last known slaves to the U.S. gov. During Russia/Alaska fur trade. Great people. Well spoken and engaged elders. Family life, drug free healthy atmosphere and somthing magical is always happening year round. From wildlife to the closeness that can only occur from island comradery... got your back weather you have it all, or nothing. If your there we share with more to spare. I am loud and proud what my ancestors hard work they have provided weather willing or unwilling. This town has always and will always be close to one's heart and the highlight of my life and many more to come. Think otherwise I wish somebody would. P.S. town not dry you can byol or byob or buy beer from the local beer hall.
